LeeAnn is responsible for the overall administration of the CAC. The primary responsibility of the Director is to coordinate and maintain the primary purpose of the CAC to include a coordinated multidisciplinary response to the investigation, treatment and prosecution of cases of child abuse in a facility that minimizes the trauma for the child victim and provides a safe and child-friendly location.

Amber is a key member of the team of professionals working at the CAC ensuring that children suspected of child abuse are not re-victimized by the system designed to protect them. As Coordinator, Amber is responsible for providing coordination assistance and support for child abuse investigation and treatment teams in a 15 county region. Amber successfully completed the Small Voices training for advanced skill building in child interviewing and in November 2009 she successfully completed the Advanced Forensic Interviewing Training. Her role as Interview Specialist is to conduct forensic interviews of child victims of abuse as requested by law enforcement, Health and Human Services or the prosecuting attorney.

Matt’s role as Advocate is to work as part of a team in keeping team members including prosecution, law enforcement and Health and Human Services workers informed of the family and victim’s needs/concerns and assist in providing crisis response, outreach and support to children and families seen at the CAC, providing follow-up contacts with the families as determined by each individual case. The Bridge of Hope's volunteer program is overseen by Matt. Volunteers are utilized to assist in watching over children when more than one child within one family is present at the CAC, this allows the Advocate to focus on advocacy services for the caregiver. Matt provides community education and outreach to our surrounding areas and is an authorized facilitator for Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children sexual abuse prevention training. Matt is also a trained forensic interviewer, having successfully completed the Small Voices training for advanced skill building in child interviewing. Multi-Disciplinary Team: The multi-disciplinary team works collaboratively to promote a thorough understanding of case issues and each agency’s role in the investigation and or intervention process. This assures the most effective system response possible to reduce secondary trauma to a child and family as well as increase the ability to hold perpetrators accountable. The coordinated team approach facilitates gathering and sharing of information, communications among agencies and promotes working more effectively together by understanding each agency’s role and the benefits of these roles in the investigation and intervention process. Our multi-disciplinary team includes Law Enforcement, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the County Attorney's office, area mental health providers, Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Lincoln County Victim/Witness Unit, Rape/Domestic Abuse Program as well as the Bridge of Hope Child Advocacy Center. The CAC currently has seven individuals that are trained in forensic interviewing. These individuals include two CAC staff members, two law enforcement investigators and three Health and Human Services Protective Service Workers. As a team it is decided on which interviewer would be the appropriate individual to interview each child.Dr. Lopez, a local Pediatrician, serves as the CAC Medical Director and oversees all examinations conducted at the CAC.
